That moment you get butterflies in your stomach when it’s almost time to host another live event! I must admit that even after hosting various events the butterflies never go away. It can definitely be a result from the pressure I put on myself with high expectations. January 14, 2012 The Ladiez Lounge held its first annual balloon release.
There were live performers, food, drinks, raffles, gifts and give-aways; but most of all women in the community had a chance to come out and connect with various women, from networking to just offering words of encouragement. The purpose of the Balloon Release is to empower women to live and be free. To write your worries, fears, frustrations, goals, dreams or whatever it is you wish on a balloon and release it in the air. To be free of it, let it go and understand that God is in control.
Women filled out our “Promise To Myself” template where they were able to make a vow to themselves on what they want to accomplish, add a photo of themselves, sign, date it and hopefully stick to their Promise.
Women that attended expressed their thoughts and feelings about our Balloon Release which made me even more eager to bring women in our community or visiting the area another opportunity to get together and enjoy each others company.
We are preparing for our 2nd Annual Balloon Release and hoping that it is just as great if not better than the 1st time around. We will have inspiration bags for our 1st 30 guests that arrive with different surprises and treats. We will place various “Lounge Words” throughout our posts on TheLadiezLounge.com and if you can tell us at least one “Lounge Word” at the Balloon Release, you will receive a special gift. If you would like to have your samples or promotional items in our inspirational bags please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have you ever attended a Balloon Release? Would you be willing to write things on a balloon and release them in the air? What are somethings that will inspire you to visit one?
