Release it!

Appetizers 2

Today we had another successful Balloon Release where women in our community came out to share and connect with one another over appetizers and drinks.  Our guests were able to participate in ice breaker games and win tons of different raffle prizes by fun exercises.  The air was filled with inspiration and our speaker Terilee Harrison softened the mood with her inspiring life story and how she overcame shame.  While it was heart breaking to hear the many things she endured, it was more empowering to see what she had overcome.  She took the time to speak with our guests and autograph books that were purchased.

Terilee speaking

Most of our guests seemed to be waiting with anticipation to write on their balloons to release goals, dreams or even frustrations into the air amongst all of the other women.  Although I released balloons before, I must say that it is a freeing experience each time I release one.  There is nothing that can compare to true freedom and by the grace of God, it is possible.

I would like to thank all of our guests for coming out to support The Ladiez Lounge.  It is truly uplifting for women to be able to come together and enjoy themselves without the worry of judgement.

I love the symbolism of releasing the balloons! Seeing hopes, dreams, and fears being released this way – and doing it among others must have been a very empowering Letting Go experience for all. What a beautiful thing to discover (your site and this message) via #SITSBlogging.

When we serve others oftentimes we forget how much we benefit from the experience. It was nice to hear your recognition and the impact your work is having on those you encounter. I wish you continued success as your relaunch draws near.
