Follow the Leader

Am I the only one who gets frustrated when someone else bites your style or adapt your way of doing things? It has become more and more aggravating to me because my creativity comes from the non-existent things out there.  If something does not exist I try to be the one to create it and I believe that’s what sets me apart from the crowd because I always step outside of the box. 

However, although I am well aware of my potential and originality it is still upsetting for someone else to bite off your extremely hard work and come up from it!  My goal is to inspire others and every day I do my very best to inspire other women to be the best that they can be.

 But there is a huge difference between someone being inspired and making it their own and someone that takes your idea and simply put their name on it as if it were their own!  It’s not fair to the hard-workers that work around the clock to create something great!!! 

Don’t get me wrong I get ideas from media outlets and other sources as well but I also cite my sources and let the world know where it originated.  No you shouldn’t go walking around with a t-shirt saying, “hey, I got my ideas from _______!” But have the decency to credit the hard work of others.

I am very private to the outside world regarding what I have in the works.  However, sometimes the insiders that may believe they are helping you out by letting others know what you have going on don’t realize the damage it can cause because others are taking notes.

There is absolutely nothing that can be done to stop people that cannot come up with their own original ideas.  However, to protect myself I will have to stop sharing my plans with people and just start getting to it.  My left hand has never known what my right hand was doing!!!
